Safeguarding
We are committed to keeping all pupils safe in school by ensuring that the following policies are adhered to:
Child Protection Policy
SET Procedures
Keeping Children Safe in Education
Working Together to Safeguard Children
The PREVENT Duty
Serious Crime Act
Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is Mr. T. Martinson.
Our Deputy Safeguarding Leads are Mrs. T. Gravely and Mrs. L. Dove.
Our Designated Safeguarding Governor is Mrs. Z. Hull.
All staff receive recommended training annually and pupils are taught how to keep themselves safe by being aware of stranger danger, using the internet, text messaging and mobile phones, keeping safe at home, road safety walks and bikeability.
Pupils are also encouraged to respect and be tolerant of other cultures, beliefs and religions. We include spiritual and moral education within our curriculum and at weekly assemblies.
We follow rigorous safer recruitment and pre-employment policies as provided by Human Resources at Essex County Council.
