Play Leaders and DTUs
Play Leaders are volunteers who aim to encourage children to play co-operatively. They also educate others with ideas of new games to play on the playground. Play Leaders also support during wet play.
All Play Leaders are trained in the skills needed to work with younger children, learning lots of fun and engaging activities to share with others.
DTUs are pupils who volunteer to give a little bit of their time each week to help others at playtimes. They receive training and on-going support to ensure that they have the skills to help others effectively. They aim to be a role model around the school, to help people who are sad and to be impartial when pupils fall out. They help to sort out problems and to prevent bullying.
