Parents

We work in partnership with our parents and ensure that they take an active part in their child's learning and development throughout the school.

Parents are invited to whole school concerts, Harvest Festival assemblies, Christmas Carol Services, Sports Day and charity fundraising events.

Before starting Reception year, parents are invited to a introductory welcome meeting highlighting important information and expectations. Parents also have the chance to meet their child's teacher in person and discuss any concerns they may have.

To ensure a smooth transition into new year groups, pupils are able to spend time in their new class and become familiar with their new teacher in July. We have found that this alleviates any worries that the child might have so that they can settle into their new class each September.

Parent Consultations are held twice a year. Termly individual progress and attainment summary sheets for reading, writing and maths are provided for parents. A end of year report is distributed in July.

Parents of pupils with Educational Health and Care Plans or Special Educational Needs and Disabilities are also meet regularly with our SENCO and Inclusion Manager and the class teacher to ensure the specific needs of their child is met.
