AUTUMN TERM

This half term Year 4 have been learning about the Amazon Rainforest. They learnt about the different layers of the rainforest, rainforests and made dioramas. 

They have been taking part in gymnastics lessons, learning three different types of rolls (straddle, forward and barrel). They put a small sequence together with their partners to perform to the class.

They have had lots of fun in their forest school time. Building dens and hammocks, digging, bug hunting, fire striking and toasting marshmallows.

In art, they have been looking at Henry Rousseau. They have created their own jungle picture inspired by him. 

They had take one picture day. We looked at the artist Canaletto and created our own rainforest regatta based on his painting.
