AUTUMN TERM

WW2 Day

Year 6 had an amazing day as they were transported back in time to WW2. They spent the morning experiencing what it was like to go to school in the 1940's. During the afternoon, they had the opportunity to go shopping whilst considering rationing and budgeting their own money in pounds, shillings and pence. 

Shelter Day

Year 6 have been learning about how civilians were protected during the 'Blitz'. They worked collaboratively to design and make their own Anderson shelters. They measured accurately, used saws and glue guns in order to make the frame and then covered it to make it look like an Anderson shelter from Wartime Britain.
