Parents
We work in partnership with our parents and ensure that they take an active part in their child's learning and development throughout the school.
Before starting Reception year, parents are invited to an introductory welcome meeting highlighting important information and expectations. Parents also have the chance to meet their child's teacher in person and discuss any concerns they may have.

To ensure a smooth transition into new year groups, pupils are able to spend time in their new class and become familiar with their new teacher in July. We have found that this alleviates any worries that the child might have so that they can settle into their new class each September.
Members of the choir represent our school during the infant and junior music festivals and perform at St. Nicholas Church for the Carol Services. This is a wonderful opportunity for parents and carers to share this special time. The upper school choir also take part in the Celebration of Christmas alongside all other schools on the island and Young Voices at the O2.
Parent Consultations are held twice a year. Termly individual progress and attainment summary sheets for reading, writing and maths are provided for parents. An end of year report is distributed in July.
Parents of pupils with Educational Health and Care Plans or Special Educational Needs and Disabilities also meet regularly with our SENCO and Inclusion Manager and the class teacher to ensure the specific needs of their child is met.
